PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change pressure losses and silencing characteristics as necessary in an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine 1 in which downstream sides of exhaust paths 10, 20 of two independent systems are connected to a single main muffler 30. SOLUTION: An exhaust system includes an exhaust control device 70 for changing the flow passage length of exhaust gas from an exhaust gas introducing part 32 to an exhaust gas exhausting part 33 in the main muffler 30.
