PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem with a conventional electric reclining chair, wherein a backrest is not reclined timely according to the intention of a seated person.

SOLUTION: The electric wheelchair 11 includes: a seat portion 12 having a seat surface 20 on for the seated person to be seated, the backrest 19 and an iliotibial part 21; a pressure detection portion 23 disposed in the backrest 19; a load calculating portion 30 for calculating a back load applied to the backrest 19 and movement of the center of gravity on the back from pressure information detected by the pressure detection portion 23; an intention estimating portion 31 for estimating the intention of stretching of the person seated on the seat 20 based on the back load calculated by load calculating portion 30 and the movement of the center of gravity on the back; a drive portion for changing the inclination of the backrest 19 relative to the seat 20; and a control portion 33 for controlling the drive portion based on the estimated intention of stretching of the person by the intention estimating portion 31.
