<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a spark plug which prevents occurrence of sputtering, a blow hole and a crack in laser welding between an electrode chip and an electrode base material. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the spark plug 100 includes a laser welding process in which an electrode chip 133 is arranged at an electrode base material 131 and by irradiating a pulsed laser beam LS on it, unit welding parts 135n1 to 135n10 are formed in the order corresponding to respective laser pulses N1 to N10. In this process, laser intensity wave forms of the respective laser pulses N1 to N10 from the starting time tsa to a prescribed initial period Ta1 are made to have wave forms that a laser intensity Sa1 becomes larger as time passes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
