PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving device and an imaging device capable of attaining energy saving and silencing, and reconciling high-speed movement of a lens frame with high-precision positioning of the lens frame. SOLUTION: The lens driving device drives a second step motor 33, and moves a connection rod 31 and a rocking shaft 73 to a direction vertical to an optical axis up to a position where a ratio between L1 and L2 becomes a selected value. In a high-speed movement mode in the state of L1<L2, a moving amount of the lens frame 22 becomes large with respect to a moving amount of a nut 28, and moving speed of the lens frame 22 becomes higher in comparison with the state of L1=L2. Hereby, high-speed movement of the lens frame 22 becomes possible in the silenced driving state in which a rotational frequency of a first step motor 23 is lowered. On the other hand, in a high-precision movement mode in the state of L1>L2, the moving amount of the lens frame 22 becomes small with respect to the moving amount of the nut 28, and a resolution of the lens frame 22 is improved in comparison with the state of L1=L2.
