PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus which can suppress the degradation in an image quality of images, and to provide a printing method. SOLUTION: The printing apparatus has a plurality of heads that eject mutually different electromagnetic wave curable inks, and a plurality of radiating parts respectively corresponding to the plurality of heads. The apparatus carries out a process in which one head of the plurality of heads performs a first ejection action for ejecting one electromagnetic wave curable ink of the electromagnetic wave curable inks, a corresponding radiating part carries out a first radiation action for radiating electromagnetic waves, different another head carries out a second ejection action for ejecting different other electromagnetic wave curable ink towards an adjacent pixel to partly overlap with the one electromagnetic wave curable ink, the corresponding radiating part carry out a second irradiation action for irradiating another electromagnetic wave curable ink with the electromagnetic waves, in this order for the plurality of heads. The process is carried out so that a contact angle to the one electromagnetic wave curable ink of the other electromagnetic wave curable inks in a second process carried out later than a first process is smaller than a contact angle in the first process.
