A platinum carbon nanotube catalyst is platinum particles being loaded on a carbon nanotube. The catalyst is prepared by the method as follows a purified carbon nanotube is placed in nitric acid, followed by heating, filtering, washing and drying to obtain a treated carbon nanotube, the resulting carbon nanotube is immersed in a chloroplatinic acid aqueous solution and subjected to ultrasonic treatment at room temperature, the mixture of the carbon nanotube and chloroplatinic acid aqueous solution is stirred for impregnation, heated to a temperature of 110 °C and dried at this temperature, and then being ground into a fine powder, and the fine powder is reduced by aqueous sodium formate solution under heat, followed by washing and drying. The catalyst can be used in heterogeneous asymmetric hydrogenation. |
