<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a user to find it easy to read by maintaining the order of pages of an original while reducing printing costs of the N-up printing of original image data in which color pages and black/white pages coexist. <P>SOLUTION: A print data generation part 12 divides a plurality of logical pages configuring original image data in the order of pages by N page, and generates print data by intensively arranging the divided logical pages by N page on one page of physical pages, and when the notable logical page being the logical page whose page number is the minimum among the logical pages before their intensive arrangements is a black and white page, and color pages are included in each of the former half N pages and the latter N pages in a range from the notable logical page to the 2N pages, and when the difference of the page numbers of the last color page and the first color page in the range of 2N pages is smaller than N, configures the logical page by arranging only the logical pages ranging from the notable logical page to the logical page just before the first color page on one page. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
