<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method capable of acquiring a stable image quality without generating an image defect, even in use of various types of transfer materials. <P>SOLUTION: In this image forming method, an electrostatic charge image is formed on a charged electrostatic charge image carrier, and the electrostatic charge image is developed by a toner on a development sleeve to form a toner image, and the toner image is transferred to the transfer material on a transfer conveyance belt. The electrostatic charge image carrier is a photoreceptor formed by sequentially laminating a photoconductive layer, and a surface layer formed of hydrogenated amorphous silicon carbide, and the sum of the atomic density of silicon atoms and the atomic density of carbon atoms on a surface layer of the photoreceptor is ≥6.60×10<SP>22</SP>atom/cm<SP>3</SP>, and the toner is a magnetic toner having magnetic toner particles containing a binder resin and magnetic iron oxide, and inorganic fine powder, and a coefficient of dynamic friction of the toner to the photoreceptor is ≥0.25 and ≤0.55. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
