<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure reduced in construction costs without excessively increasing the floor height, and allowing evacuees to evacuate safely. <P>SOLUTION: A building 1 includes a plurality of floors 11-15 arranged one on top of another, a stairhall 20 extending vertically, and X-shaped stairs 30 comprising a pair of U-shaped stairs 31A, 31B arranged in an overlapping manner in the stairhall 20. Floors 11-14 of the floors 11-15 are specific floors positioned at different heights with respect to any landings S of the X-shaped stairs 30. When the landings S of the X-shaped stairs 30 positioned at the heights closest to the specific floors 11-14 are defined as specific landings, the landings S1, S3, S4, S6 are the specific landings.
