PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vehicle panorama camera system from which a panorama image with comparatively small distortion can be obtained even if the image is a wide field image where an actual direction can easily be recognized. SOLUTION: An in-vehicle panorama camera system includes: a plurality of cameras arranged in such a way that projection centers of the cameras are shared with each other, parts of imaging areas of which adjacent to each other are overlapped, and the whole imaging range of the camera is within a prescribed horizontal angular range around a vehicle front or back; an elliptic cylindrical face projection converting means that converts a picked-up image of each camera into an elliptic cylindrical face projected image by using an elliptic cylindrical face whose center axis is a perpendicular axis passing through the projection center and whose shorter-axis direction is coincident with a vehicle longitudinal direction as the projection face while using such a conversion expression for converting the picked-up image of each camera into the elliptic cylindrical face projected image in which coordinates of all elliptic cylindrical face projected images are unified to a single two-dimensional coordinate system preset for an elliptic cylindrical face; and a display means for displaying the generated elliptic cylindrical face panorama image.
