PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical surface collapse prevention structure which is formed of blocks made of a hard material such as concrete and constructed without using a heavy machine by reducing the weight and size of the blocks. SOLUTION: This vertical surface collapse prevention structure is configured by arranging artificial stone panels A adjacent to each other on a vertical surface and connecting and fixing steel wall surface members B to the artificial stone panels A. The artificial stone panel A has a unit weight of approximately 60 kg or less, and includes a rear plate and a plurality of artificial stones made of a hard material which are integrally formed on the rear plate. The artificial stones are dividedly arranged by lattice-like recessed grooves linearly crossing each other. The steel wall surface member B is formed of lattice-like reinforcements which are arranged in a lattice shape so as to be fitted to the lattice-like recessed grooves of the artificial stone panels A.
