PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the application of a burden to only a wire rope by introducing a fail-safe thought even if rapid load fluctuation occurs in the absorption of an impact load. SOLUTION: An arched steel bar 13 or a corrugated steel bar which is bent in an arched or corrugated shape and generates an resilient force in a direction in which a cord length of a waveform is constantly contracted is employed as a device for maintaining tension. Hooks 14 with bent ends are formed at both ends so as to inhibit the wire rope 8 provided along the steel bar by being helically wound around it from being separated from the steel bar. The desired tension is maintained in a state that the overall length of the rope is kept constant by changing the bend of the steel bar by the thermal expansion/contraction and the rapid load fluctuation of the wire rope.
