PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm a light receiving level even in a remote operating state. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes a control section, an imaging section and an optical compound cable for connecting the control section and the imaging section and displays with LEDs located on a front panel of the control section a receiving level of light sent from the imaging section to the control section and a receiving level of light sent from the control section to the imaging section. The imaging apparatus has a remote control device, a centralized remote control device, a view finder or a picture monitor and the control section of the imaging apparatus has a function for displaying the receiving level of the light on the imaging unit, the remote control device, the centralized remote control device, the view finder or the picture monitor.
