PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency broadcast reception device which can cope with a false emergency broadcast. SOLUTION: The emergency broadcast reception device, which receives an emergency broadcast using an AC carrier of an ISDB-T, ISDB-Tsb, or ISDB-Tmm transmission system, intermittently receives the AC carrier to hold a combination of a plurality of ones of whether synchronous detection is successful, an AGC control value, an all-carrier average demodulation signal level, a demodulation signal level of the AC carrier, and C/N as information obtained during the intermittent reception for a plurality of times, determines whether the received emergency broadcast is a false signal by matching the held information with a predetermined pattern when receiving the emergency broadcast with the AC carrier, and indicates that the emergency broadcast is the false signal through screen display or in voice in such a case.
