摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take a necessary defrosting time while attaining energy saving to prevent the occurrence of unmelted frost on a drain pan regardless of the amount of frost formed. SOLUTION: When the temperature of an evaporator 35 rises in a predetermined temperature region X across a melting point of ice within a predetermined time after the start of a defrosting operation, and if an ambient temperature is lower than a set value, the amount of frost formed is considered to be small to once stop energization to a defrosting heater 40. The temperature of the evaporator 35 is continuously detected thereafter, and the detected temperature ts is compared with a temperature characteristic line C used as a target concerning the temperature rise of the evaporator 35. The target temperature characteristic line C is formed of a temperature rise curve of the evaporator 35 required to continuously carry out defrosting. When the detected temperature ts of the evaporator 35 is lower than the target temperature characteristic line C, the influence of remaining heat is considered to be reduced, and energization to the defrosting heater 40 is performed again.
