Disclosed is a methacrylic resin which contains 80-99.5% by mass of a methacrylic acid ester monomer unit and 0.5-20% by mass of at least one other vinyl monomer unit that is copolymerizable with a methacrylic aid ester. The methacrylic resin satisfies the following conductions (I)-(III). (I) The weight average molecular weight as determined by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) is 60,000-300,000. (II) The area ratio of a fraction having a molecular weight equal to 1/5 or less of the peak molecular weight (Mp) as determined from a GPC elution curve is 7-40%, said area ratio being obtained from the GPC elution curve. (III) The repose angle is 20-40°.
