PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire enabling the productivity to be improved while maintaining the fatigue resistance of a steel cord used for the reinforcement layer thereof. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic tire in which the steel cord 10 of 1×2 strand structure is used for the reinforcement layer, the steel cord 10 has a carbon content of 0.60-0.75%, a strength of 2900-3500 MPa when buried in the tire, and a twist angle of 1.5-3.0°.
