PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mounted piezoelectric device that exhibits reduced deflection caused by reduced thickness of the piezoelectric device. SOLUTION: The surface-mounted piezoelectric device (100) includes: a tuning-fork type piezoelectric vibrating piece (30) having a base portion and a pair of vibrating arms extending from the base portion; and a package which includes wall portions (19, 49) forming a cavity (22) accommodating the tuning-fork type piezoelectric vibrating piece (30), and columnar bodies (18, 48) situated between the pair of vibrating arms (21), in the cavity (22).
