PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a router device and the like capable of automatically switching between a usual operation and a power saving operation without requiring a manual operation. SOLUTION: The router device having a DHCP server function monitors a DHCP packet from a terminal. When a state where a DHCP packet is not received continues, the router device is switched into a power saving operation during power saving operation, the router device operates on only the function capable of sensing a trigger switched into the usual operation.
