PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejecting head having a piezoelectric element having a small environmental load and a high displacement characteristic, a liquid ejection apparatus using the same, and a piezoelectric element. SOLUTION: A liquid ejecting head I includes a pressure generating chamber 12 communicating with a nozzle for ejecting liquid droplets and a piezoelectric element 300 having a piezoelectric layer 70 and a pair of electrodes disposed at both sides of the piezoelectric layer 70. The piezoelectric layer 70 is formed of a perovskite-type oxide containing barium titanate, calcium titanate, and an europium oxide.
