A device for refining glass, especially in flat glass production to eliminate gas bubbles, comprises at least one heated platinum (Pt) tube (5, 5') with a glass entry hole (24) and an glass exit hole (25), an aeration channels (10) extending from at least one of the Pt tubes. The Pt tubes are bent upwards to the horizontal at an angle of greater than 1[deg] and less than 30[deg]. An independent claim is included for a method of refining (sic) glass as described above. |
