The appliance has a door hinge handle (1) including an edge-open bolt passage region (6) and fastened to a door, and a bearing bolt fastened to a housing or to the door, where the door hinge handle is fastened to the housing. Support units (13') are provided for protection of the bearing bolt in a bearing opening (7). The support units withdraw the bearing bolt from the bearing opening when the bearing bolt is present in a specific angle position with respect to the bearing opening and/or moved in a specific direction from a window blind against a spring action of a spring (14).
