<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently prevent detection failure at long distances, and to accurately detect an object which exists in a detection area. <P>SOLUTION: A laser radar device 1 includes a laser light emitting means, a photodiode 20 (light detection means) for detecting reflected light emitted from a detected object; a deflecting part 41 configured to rotate about a predetermined center axis 42a; a rotation deflection mechanism 40, in which the deflection part 41 deflects laser light L1 toward an open space and reflected light emitted from the detected object directed toward the photodiode 20; and a motor 50 driving the rotation deflection mechanism 40. The laser light emitting means generates the pulse laser light L1, at each "predetermined rotation angle position", when the deflecting part 41 of the rotation deflection mechanism 40 is driven by the motor 50 by a predetermined rotation angle".
