<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage type water heater free from freezing damage even during power failure or even when a low temperature state is continued for a long period. <P>SOLUTION: The storage type water heater is equipped with: a water supply pipe 14 communicating a water supply pipe 18 with a tank 11; and a draining means 16 for draining the water in the water supply pipe 14. The draining means 16 is composed of: a drainage port 29; a trap plug 30 for opening and closing the drainage port; a drain outlet 33 communicated with the drainage port 29 when the trap plug 30 is opened; and an intake 32. The intake 32 is opened to the atmosphere at a flow channel downstream side with respect to the drainage port 29, the drain outlet 33 is opened on a flow channel upstream side with respect to the drainage port 29, and opening areas are successively reduced in the order of the drainage port 29, the drain outlet 33, and the intake 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
