摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pearlite steel rail that makes a frictional crack reduced which occurs in a gauge/corner portion due to a contact between the rail and a wheel, without decreasing the abrasion resistance which a high-strength rail has. SOLUTION: The pearlite steel rail has a component composition including, by mass%, more than 0.75% but less than 0.85% C, 0.1-0.3% Si, 0.7-1.1% Mn, 0.035% or less P, 0.0005-0.010% S, 0.05-0.25% Cr so that the total content of C, Si, Mn and Cr is more than 1.9% but less than 2.3%, and the balance Fe with unavoidable impurities; and has electrical resistivityρof 21.1 to 23.7μΩcm and 0.2% strength of more than 500 MPa but less than 800 MPa.
