PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate double-side printing image data having a proper density while preventing the occurrence of ink retransfer and paper jamming. SOLUTION: A selection signal is received by a density selection receiving part so as to select whether to apply density lowering processing to only one of the surfaces of two image data for double-side printing or to apply density lowering processing to both of the surfaces.
