The method for the provision of water with given water hardness, comprises storing water with constant water hardness that has a lower value than the predetermined water hardness from a continuous source or in a container (1), and conducting the water from the container by means of a pipeline (2) to a consumer (3), where the volume flow in the pipe line is continuously measured by a sensor (4) and the measured values are transferred to a control unit (5). The control unit is implemented from the measured volume flow under use of a software and a computer on the software. The method for the provision of water with given water hardness, comprises storing water with constant water hardness that has a lower value than the predetermined water hardness from a continuous source or in a container (1), and conducting the water from the container by means of a pipeline (2) to a consumer (3), where the volume flow in the pipe line is continuously measured by a sensor (4) and the measured values are transferred to a control unit (5). The control unit is implemented from the measured volume flow under use of a software and a computer on the software in order to calculate a quantity of hardening binder, which is added to the water through flowing pipeline in order to obtain a given water hardness. The control unit actuates a pump, which doses the hardening binder over an inlet into the water stream flowing to the consumers through dosing pumps from a reservoir until reaching the volume of the hardening binder calculated through the control unit for adjusting the given water hardness. The hardening binder is an aqueous solution of calcium chloride and/or magnesium sulfate. The calcium chloride solution is used in a reservoir and magnesium sulfate solution is used in a separate reservoir. The reservoirs dispose over an own dosing pump that is controlled by the control unit. Washing machines are connected as the consumer. The water is pumped from the container or the water source by a separate pump in the consumer. The process is continuously carried out. The water hardness in the container is 0[deg] dH. An independent claim is included for a device for the provision of water with given water hardness.
