<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a deteriorated part on a specific path in the few number of steps. <P>SOLUTION: A deteriorated part estimation apparatus 1 selects one router 3 (node) bisecting a path subjected to deteriorated part estimation and outputs to a measuring terminal 2, which is connected to the relevant node, communication instructions to instruct communication with each of measuring terminals 2 connected to the path subjected to the estimation. Based on result information of the communication executed in accordance with the communication instructions, the deteriorated part estimation apparatus 1 then calculates a deterioration value on the path, with which the communication has been performed, and estimates a deteriorated part based on the calculated deterioration value and a deterioration value of the path subjected to the estimation of the deteriorated part.
