PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid locking by comprehending a walking state even when a portable terminal does not operate. SOLUTION: The portable terminal includes: a vibration detecting portion for detecting vibrations; an inputting portion for inputting information; a storing portion for storing a set time; and a control portion for locking operation according to information from the inputting portion when a time to start measurements from the last operation of the inputting portion elapses the set time, and for avoiding the locking when the vibration detecting portion detects vibrations within the set time.
