PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce energy consumption required for drying a recording medium. SOLUTION: An inkjet printer 1 includes an inkjet head 2 which forms an image by ejecting ink droplets to the recording medium, a drying part 4 which exposes the recording medium on which an image is formed by the inkjet head 2 to internal dry gas thus drying the recording medium, a heat pump 5 having an evaporator 51 and a condenser 52, and a gas circulation passage 6 which guides the gas discharged from the drying part 4 to pass through the evaporator 51 and condenser 52 sequentially before being guided again to the drying part 4.
