PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process capable of simply producing a block copolymer having both a high melting point and a low glass transition temperature.

SOLUTION: The process for producing an aromatic vinyl compound/conjugated polyene compound block copolymer having a melting point measured by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) of 250-300°C and a glass transition temperature of -30 to -150°C comprises conducting copolymerization in the presence of an aromatic vinyl compound and a conjugated polyene compound.
