PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a stable pseudo ripple voltage without using a voltage buffer in a switching regulator of a hysteritic control system. SOLUTION: The switching regulator which switch-controls a switch element (1), steps down an input voltage and generates an output voltage includes a differential amplifier circuit (6) amplifying a difference between first and second input signals with a voltage obtained by feeding back the output voltage as a first input signal and a reference voltage as a second input signal, a pseudo ripple generator (7) supplying current with prescribed temporal change whenever the switch element (1) performs prescribed logic transition to an amplification route of either the first input signal or the second input signal in the differential amplifier circuit (6) and a comparator (8) to which differential output of the differential amplifier circuit (6) is inputted.
