PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost and compact ferrite core, an inductor, an electromagnetic energy converter suitable for mass-production to assure high energy density. SOLUTION: The ferrite core of inductor is formed by combining a case 1 having an intermediate leg 3 erected at the central area of a rectangular basic bottom 2 and an external frame 4 in the same height as the intermediate leg to surround a groove 5 from both sides thereof to store a coil formed of the insulating wire and a cover 7 to which a blind hole 8 is formed to keep a gap 9 of a magnetic circuit by preventing contact with the intermediate leg 3 at the plane opposing to the upper end plane of the intermediate leg in such a structure that a closed magnetic circuit is formed of the case 1 and the cover 7.
