PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a capacitor microphone, which prevents noise from being caused in an audio signal converted into an electric signal by a microphone, and a shielding method thereof. SOLUTION: A compression sleeve 30 is combined to a microphone cable 20. A small-diameter cylindrical part 32 is compressed on the outer peripheral side of a folded part 21 of a shielding cable. Thus, the compression sleeve 30 is electrically connected to the shielding cable. A large-diameter cylindrical part 31 covers a connection part between a connector 60 and the microphone cable 20. The large-diameter cylindrical part 31 and a connector housing 50 are fitted with each other. A bush 40 covers the compression sleeve 30. An outer periphery of the large-diameter cylindrical part 31 is brought into press-contact with an inner periphery of the connector housing 50. The large-diameter cylindrical part 33 has a flange 33 on the outer peripheral surface. The flange 33 is brought into press-contact with an end of the connector housing 50 on the side of the microphone cable 20 by a shoulder part 43 of an inner periphery of the bush.
