PURPOSE: A backlight unit(BLU) for stably driving various light source modules and a display apparatus including the same are provided to constantly maintain the ratio of the input voltage and the output voltage in a light source driving unit by controlling the output voltage of a converter supplying power to the light source driving voltage. CONSTITUTION: A light source module(157) generates backlight using a plurality of light sources. A converter(153) outputs an output voltage by transforming an input voltage. A light source driving unit(155) drives the light source module using the output voltage of the converter. A controlling unit(159) controls the output voltage of the converter based on the output voltage of the light source driving unit.
