<p>The extruder has a piston rod (13) displaced against a receiving space, and motor (21) for moving the piston rod. An actuating element (26) e.g. speed regulator and pushbutton, produces a control signal during actuation of the actuating element. A control unit (31) controls the motor and comprises a power module (32) for connecting the motor with a power supply (19), and a separate signal input (33). The separate signal input is electrically connected with the actuating element. The power module connects the motor with the power supply based on the control signal at the signal input. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling an extruder.</p> |
