The vehicle has an inverter/rectifier (14) and electrical loads (10, 12) e.g. transformer, placed between conductors (6, 8). A battery (30) e.g. lithium battery is connected to a direct current (DC) bus. The voltage is provided between terminals of battery, when the battery is fully charged. Another voltage is provided between the terminals, when the battery is discharged. A DC-DC voltage controllable step down transformer (40) has sides connected to the terminals and bus, respectively. The transformer delivers electrical energy on the bus, when the transformer is under the voltage (V-DC). An independent claim is also included for a method for using the public transportation vehicle. |
