#CMT# #/CMT# The damper has a hub (3) that defines an axis of rotation, and a mass member (4) that is coupled to the hub via a spring element. The mass member rotationally and freely vibrates relative to the hub. The mass member has an annular shape and is arranged coaxially relative to the hub. The spring element is made of steel and is provided in the form of a wave-shaped bendable spring. The spring extends around the hub over 270 degrees in a circumferential direction. The spring has inner turning portions that are in contact with the hub. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Rotational vibration damper for a crankshaft in a crankshaft arrangement (claimed) of a piston engine i.e. internal combustion engine, and for absorbing rotational vibration in amplitude and frequency in the piston engine during a stage of energy conversion. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The spring element is provided in the form of a wave-shaped bendable spring, thus allowing torque acting from outside on to the spring element, to act as constant bending moment along entire wire length of the spring element, and preventing change in winding diameter of the spring element during twisting of the spring element, from influencing linearity of the spring element, and hence ensuring reliable damping or absorption of rotational vibrations on a crankshaft. The damper is lightweight, has simple design and reduced number of components, and can be easily manufactured. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a sectional view of a rotational vibration damper. 3 : Hub 4 : Mass member 6 : Inner annular web 8 : Outer annular web 9 : Outer face.
|
