PURPOSE: A backlight assembly of a liquid crystal display device is provided to improve the heat radiation efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A backlight assembly(10) comprises a light guide plate(140), a light source(130) installed in one side of the light guide plate, a mid part container(150) which covers the top part of the light source, a lower part container(200) for containing the light guide plate and the light source, a light source fixing frame(220) which is connected to the inner surface of the mid part container, and a body part(210) which is connected with the light source fixing frame at the lower part of the light guide plate.
