PURPOSE: A power supply network system and a control method thereof are provided to reduce power consumption by restricting the use of electricity in a time zone assigned with the maximum electricity price. CONSTITUTION: A power management adapter(200) comprises a communication unit(210) receiving a control command from an energy management device, a first coupling part(211) in which a plug is inserted, a second coupling part(212) which is coupled to a plug receptacle(300), a switching part(213) which selectively connects the first and the second coupling part, a power measuring part(217) which measures the power consumption of electric appliances, and a control part(216) which supplies or cuts off power to the electric appliances.
