PURPOSE: A device for powering the power tailgate for a spindle type vehicle is provided to easily separate a housing from the device by coupling both ends of the housing to a vehicle body and a tailgate using an elastic joint clip. CONSTITUTION: A device for powering the power tailgate for a spindle type vehicle comprises a housing(10), a drive unit(20), a driven unit(30), and a clutch(40). Both ends of the housing are coupled to a vehicle body and a tailgate through a joint unit. The drive and driven units are successively equipped in the housing. The clutch transfer power from the drive unit to the driven unit and is composed of a drive clutch(42) and a driven clutch(44). The drive and driven clutches are connected to the drive and driven units.
