PURPOSE: A method and kit for selectively detecting mutant are provided to detect a small amount of mutant with excellent sensitivity and specificity. CONSTITUTION: A method for detecting K-ras gene mutant comprise a step of performing real-time PCR of K-ras gene under the presence of PNA clamping probe and K-ras gene clamping primer set to determine presence or concentration of K-ras gene mutant. The K-ras gene claimping primer set contains a forward primer which specifically binds to K-ras gene wild-type codon 12 or 13 upstream. The PNA claimping probe has N-terminal or C-terminal linker.
