PURPOSE: A vane pump is provided to maximize the pump efficiency of a vane pump since rods inserted into a vane contact the inner surface of a pumping chamber. CONSTITUTION: A vane pump comprises a housing(100), a rotor(200), and a vane(300). The housing has a fluid inlet(110), a fluid outlet(120), and a pumping chamber(130). The rotor is eccentrically formed in the pumping chamber. The vane is coupled with a vane coupling groove to be movable. A rod inserting groove is formed at the end of the vane. The inner surface of the pumping chamber is machined so the diagonal lengths of all parts passing through the center of the rotor are equal. When the vane is rotated in the pumping chamber by the rotation of the rotor, the rod inserted into the vane coupling groove contacts the inner surface of the pumping chamber. |
