SCREENING METHODS FOR A REGULATOR TO P53 PATHWAY AND USES THEREOF

PURPOSE: A novel function of ZBTB2 as a master regulator of p53 pathway is provided to control gene expression of RF-HDM2-p53-p21 pathway. CONSTITUTION: A method for screening a material for preventing or treating p53 or p21-associated diseases comprises: a step o treating a test material to cells including ZBTB2-encoding nucleotide sequence; and a step of analyzing ZBTB2 expression. In case of the test material suppresses ZBTB2 expression, the test material is determined as a cancer therapeutic agent. A pharmaceutical composition for anti-tumor contains RNAi(RNA interference) molecular which specifically binds to ZBTB2 gene.
