The contents of capillary tubes 83 are dispensed in sequence on to travelling laminated tape 21-23 using a device comprising movable support 79 for holding the capillary tubes horizontally, a clamp means having jaws 86, 87 for individually engaging each capillary tube in turn, and pivot means for swinging the capillary while horizontal to a position in which one end is over the tape, then tilting the capillary (by operation of hinge 90) to a vertical position for discharging its contents. Support plate 28 for the tape has in it a recess 30 beneath the point of discharge. |
