PURPOSE: A bill counting apparatus having a plasma sterilizer and an auto teller machine having the same are provided to reduce a time for sterilizing a bill including a plasma sterilizing unit. CONSTITUTION: In a bill counting apparatus having a plasma sterilizer and an auto teller machine having the same, a main body(10) includes an input slot and a discharge slot. A transfer roller(16,18) transfers a sheet which is inputted into the input slot. A transfer roller(20) counts the transferred bill and discharges it. A plasma sterilizer(30) is installed in the main body and supplies plasma when counting the bill.
