FIELD: information technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: network node is assigned a unique identifier, which is used to obtain a resource model corresponding to that node, and to determine whether that node belongs to a specific category. The resource model is a set of information on the node. The identifier search module determines the node identifier based on node characteristics, which are used as a key in data search structures. The category search module determines whether a specific node belongs to a specific category using transitive closure for modelling categories which can be attached to the resource model.
