PURPOSE: A lumbar supporting apparatus for a chair is provided to protect the spine of a user from sitting for a long time, and to enable the user to sit on a comfortable posture. CONSTITUTION: A lumbar supporting apparatus for a chair comprises the following: a supporting unit frame(10) supporting the waist of a user sitting on the chair; a location controller with one end fixed to the supporting unit frame, for controlling the forward and backward location of the supporting unit frame; and a frame fixture(30) fixed by the location controller penetrating the frame fixture.
