A receptacle 10, such as a tank, for holding water within a roof space 11 is disclosed. The receptacle comprises a base 12 and side walls 13a-d which extend from the base, with at least one of the side walls being arranged at an angle to the base. The angle substantially corresponds with a slope of a roof 30 which forms the roof space. In use, the receptacle is advantageously designed to fit within an apex 27 of the roof space. A water distribution system (25, fig.5) comprising at least two of the receptacles is disclosed. A water heating system (26, fig.7) comprising the receptacle is also disclosed, where the heating system preferably includes a solar panel 29 heat transfer device with a ducting arrangement for receiving water from the receptacle. In a further aspect, a valve arrangement (35, fig.8) for limiting the flow of water into a receptacle is also disclosed. |
