PURPOSE: An escalator or a moving work step washing system is provided to increase the stability of an operation by removing foreign materials through a simple washing mechanism inside a moving work step. CONSTITUTION: A step input/output unit(60) has a metal piece which is protruded and is attached. A washing apparatus(80) is closely attached to the bottom of the step and removes foreign material. A fixing unit(140) fixes the washing apparatus to a certain position. A close elastic member(160) is comprised of one of a buffer, a spring, a rubber, a silicon, and a synthetic resin.
